This tab is labelled 'About Me', but really, it's all about HIM. The one from which everyone and everything orginates. HE has saved me from myself. HE met me in my deepest dispair and has redeemed me time and again. HE is the sustainer of souls. HE is Allah. And to HIM be all the glory.about this blog:
I'm learning to see the bountiless miracles, mercies and blessings that HE has set forth in my life. And this blog is testimony of that. Amin.
In Algeria as in multiple Arab countries, the word " hospitality " is not only a word. It is a mentality. Guests are admirably received in any area of the country. In fact, when meals are prepared they prepared always with the tired traveller and the unexcepted guest in mind.
I invite you as my guest, to share my personal chronicle of as a child of Europe, Muslim
revert, wife and mother living in a traditional Muslim (Algerian) society.
This is an online diary, notepad and general scrapbook with links, thoughts and other electronic scribbles of interest to purtaining to all ascepts of my family's life. This space is dedicated to the art and soul natural living, self-sufficiency, venturous homemaking, valiant mothering, mundane acts of living the faith, day-to-day life in Algeria, eliminating the unnecessary excess and focusing on the most important details of this life. My whole life belongs to Allah and for HIS sake I am writing here.
about intentions:
Faith isn't only about making sujoud 5x a day. Homemaking isn't just about a clean and beautifully decorated house. Healthy isn't about not being not showing the outward signs of illnesses. Mothering isn't about giving birth to as many children as you possibly can. All these are the beginnings of a lifestyle of submission to Allah, Al Malik and a desire to carefully steward that HE has given us. Our body, mind, family, home, time and money.
why read this blog?
If you know me or have been read my writings for any length of time then you know I'm on a journey. I live consciously and do my best to live better today than the day before.
Sometimes, I succeed.
Sometimes, I fail.
Sometimes I fail miserably. Astragfurallah.
But I don't stop; I continue.
My journey continues by the Grace of Allah. So by reading about what I've done and what I'm doing is not only encouraging me, but indeed encouraging others who want to live fully and love Allah through their living.
Elhamdullah.
